about
Track represents our contribution to asking the same question we been asking throughout human development. Its getting harder to find examples of love and compassion in a war torn wilderness where greed desire, possession and hatred are the main influential motivating drivers. Populations are encouraged to be divisive as they preoccupy themselves with starting and resolving conflicts to address who will get access to its scarce and valuable resources. Love is all too often pushed under the surface as we can easily become caught up in this mechanism pursuing our own self interest with no sensitivity towards who may be hurt by our actions. Check it.
Song also written as clear message of support for our Bethnal Green neighbour and fellow British citizen Shamima Begum. Our heart goes out to her in her legal battle to overturn a government decision that is depriving her of citizenship after she was groomed and trafficked as an ISIS bride at only 14 years of age... Come on guys she was a child .wtf happened to forgiveness and compassion ... where has the love gone.
lyrics
Where did the love go x 4/5
Just found out that life’s a commodity loves been getting scarce
& if you ageing prematurely evolutions in reverse
Did they pay you what they owe you were you worth a little more
& if you make it to retirement you’re a tourist in a war
Take a look where did the love go contract null and void
You got a right to silence
Everybody got a right to make a bit of noise
Where did the love go x 6
Life defined in units & the units got to flow
Start a mass migration & the tourists get a show
Pass through immigration & we see if you can stay
Block your application & you programmed to obey
Can’t find love in a migrant death camp everybody look a bit scared
You got no rights we shoot on sight
You can try your luck but we keep our word
Where did the love go x 6
Never gonna miss what you never did have
Never gonna last and I feel so bad
Whats wrong push things too far
Nowhere to run & I can’t hide the scars
Take a look where did the love go markets in decline
I need some human contact
& if the price is right its all online
Where did the love go x 6
She breathe in silence through the night reflection on her past.
Lost my sense of reason I can’t keep up she move too fast
I like a moving target and I always in your sight
Living on the margin and the margin getting tight
Take a look where did the love go fallen off the rail
Deny my own emotions
But I can turn them on you know they up for sale
Show your history and we given you a month
Down at the foodbank they’re all out to lunch
Death of a culture you gotta perform
Where did the love go I cant conform
