about

The cleaners give their own abrasive and politely sardonic overview of observable phenomena and behaviour changes that developed throughout the corona virus pandemic as a consequence of responses government felt necessary to impose in their attempts to contain the spread of the virus. Lives were lost, the NHS system and economies buckled. Families became disconnected, livelihoods disappeared, fortunes were made. Anger and frustration manifested itself in the form of demonstrations and organised civil disobedience and children were instructed to stay at home as the education system was also withdrawn. With the collapse of the live entertainment and sports industry due to the forbiddance of large social gatherings, a larger reliance on social media developed as a means for the individual to connect and experience a sense of inclusion and feel a part of the now non-existent wider social environment and which also served as an outlet for entertainers denied of their livelihood and audiences to perform to, and express, exercise and release their curious symptoms of attention deficit disorder.

Take a deep breath and keep up with the manic frantic caustic lyrical delivery in this lockdown journey as Winston Propaganda and the rest of the gang take you on a tour of trauma and insecurity as civilisations temporarily lose and regain control as the virus took a grip and citizens worldwide had problems adjusting to freedom restrictions and a new set of rules to which they had difficulty adjusting.

lyrics

Life In Lockdown

Sick in my mind, way past my prime, like the scene of a crime, and I fallen on hard times,
Living on scraps, panic attacks, I been hacked and I just had a relapse
In poverty, inferiority, not a priority, ethnic minority.
On probation, virus mutation, no vaccination, there’s a lost generation
Mask your face, track and trace, make Britain great, It’s a basket case.
World beater, dosed on sleeper, smoke amnesia, netflix streamer.
Infection, lethal injection, mental rejection, just been sectioned,
Self-isolation, Scrap education, demonstration, another cremation,
Cant breathe and my eyes cant see, satellite live at the BBC, One last walk in one last scene, a meaningless memory in a shadowless dream.
That’s a life in lockdown X 4

Gonna get worse, the poor die first, Cant find a nurse, your going home in a hearse,
Drawn a blank. No one to thank, council flat skank, life in a food bank.
Social distance, planet resistance, breadline existence rank subsistence,
Abortion extortion, all up for auction, police caution another post mortem.
Nothing in in the shops its all kicked off send for cops and I’ve started to cough
Read him his rights, flashing blue lights, banged up at night, & I’m hooked on porn sights
I bin screwed, in a bad mood, queuing for food and you’re a star on you tube.
We all clap, think that’s a wrap, hey cut the crap, your in a death trap.
Cant breathe and my eyes cant see satellite live at the BBC, one last walk in one last scene, a meaning less memory and a shadowless dream,
That’s a life in lock down X 4….
Guitar solo…………… That’s a life in lock down X 4….

Football postpone, go & get stoned, on a crisis loan and you trapped in a debt zone,
Narcissistic, gone ballistic, a little autistic, just a statistic
Passive aggressive, manic depressive, compulsive obsessive, systems oppressive,
New York, Delhi, Moscow, China body pile up and were not far behind ya.
Mind control, in a goldfish bowl, opinion poll, off the payroll,
Blood shot eyes, Jekyll and Hyde, North South divide, trapped on the darkside.
Self-esteem, breathing machine, collapse of the dream, government smokescreen,
Tax deduction, too much disruption, health care construction, cash & corruption.
Cant breathe and my eyes cant see satellite live at the BBC, one last walk in one last scene, a meaning less memory and a shadowless dream,
That’s a life in lock down X 4….
